Brand Identity
Obeng
November 2020

As graphic designer for this project, the client tasked me with creating a logo for Obeng, a luxury accessories brand that draws inspiration from its West African heritage and embraces Afro-futurism. The client was looking for a logo that captured the brand's energy while also exuding a cool, contemporary feel. To achieve this, I incorporated organic curves from the Adinkrahene symbol, a revered icon in West African culture, into the logo's design.

The resulting logo seamlessly blends the brand's heritage and contemporary style, while the use of the Adinkrahene symbol adds a touch of authenticity and cultural significance. The logo was applied to the brand's merchandise as well as its social media presence, and it effectively conveys Obeng's unique blend of tradition and modernity. Overall, this project challenged me to find a balance between honoring cultural heritage and creating a fresh, contemporary design that would resonate with modern audiences.
